i had previous with a blue mini driver in dalmeny last summer.

followed him home and confronted him in his driveway in front of the postie

he called me a gobshite and disappeared into his house

i decided to let it go.

hopefully no connection to today's tragic incident.

Oddly the article (and therefore Police press release) records the location as the B800 near Dalmeny. Isn't the B800 the road from Kirkliston to SQ which doesn't go nearer Dalemny than either of those 2?

My first assumption was that it was Standingstane Road rather than one with a wide pavement.

Scene confirmed as the road past Royal Elizabeth Yard, if it has a name I'm unaware of it.

    Condolences to his family.

I'll attempt to choose my words carefully, but there would appear to be damned few valid reasons why a car should run two pedestrians over on a largely straight, level road (well, any road really) in the middle of the day and I trust the police are examining the circumstances carefully and that, if warranted, suitable charges are raised in due course.
