Could anyone point me at a good lawyer who deals with accidents....Got hit head on by a car yesterday at Queensferry St and the police don't seem to be doing anything... i have the whole thing on video I think the driver may have been on a mobile phone but the police wont check and didnt seem to take witness statements either despite a few volunteers.. i was carted off in an ambulance so i didn't get names

As said... Cycle Law are best bet.

Sorry to hear of your injuries - bruising (physical and mental) can last a while.
The fact that the 'incident' isn't being investigated doesn't help.
Of course if two cars had been involved then...

You have to complain otherwise things like this will keep happening. I quoted chief constables statements regarding road safety in my letter and also road traffic laws to get their attention. I did end up though having to complain about my complaint!

In relation to my accident, some similar circumstances with witnesses and bus CCTV available. The officers attending my accident adopted a can't be bothered attitude and never got any evidence. I was fortunate the guy that hit me admitted it was his fault and Cycle Law ensured I was compensated.

Good luck and hope you make a quick recovery.

Disgraceful that the Police won't investigate / check phone records.

As others have said that was horrible to watch. I hope that you are on the mend and that everything gets sorted with the driver. At least having it all on video takes away any uncertainty about the events.

How on earth could the polis not be interested given its an absolutely clear cut of dangerous driving at best, all on video and witnesses all around?!

Thanks everyone. Going to use Cycle Law and by posting the video more witnesses have come forward so the police may act. Unfortunately will be another few weeks before i get to ride again.
