Was speaking to the brewer today after he had parked their wee Citroen van on Cockburn street. They will be bringing out a Paolozzi brown ale in coming weeks.

I know the guy quoted in the press release and I know his private opinion of this stuff.

Down with this kind of thing.

It is also inspired by the work of another artist who sought to blur the divide between high and low culture, and bring out ‘the sublime in the everyday,’ one David Bowie.

Edinburgh Beer Factory have applied to convert the old RBS on Forrest Road into a pub called Paolozzi.

RBS and Paolozzi: the two most overvalued things in twenty-first century Scotland?

Not that the area really needs more pubs but its probably as good a use as one will find for that site.

  11. Their Edinburgh Brown Ale is way too drinkable for something that's 6%

I am hoping to persuade them to sponsor Sunday in Hell when we put it on at EdFoC. They do brewery tours and someone who is NotMe could organise for CCE to go. We will pick the only date that suits IainMcr then he will have a prior engagement.

I picked up a case of the brown when they were selling cheap before Christmas. I'm not a fan of it and willing to part with them for the £1 a bottle I paid or swap for any other local ale.
