My double tap gear lever has broken the spring which keeps it snugly behind the brake lever. It's otherwise functional but a little annoying as it flaps around.

Does anyone know if it's possible to replace such a spring? A brief google search isn't shedding much light on it.

I had an issue with a double tap lever after 10 months of use, it basically snapped off.

Took it back to the vendor who supplied the groupset, and SRAM replaced both levers without quibble. If it's within a year old worth taking back.

Thanks, unfortunately they are 4 years and 20,000km old so don't owe me anything. It's the hassle of unwinding all the bar tap to get at them that worries me the most so would be good to know if it's going to be a repair or replacement before I get that far.

Thanks for the offer bax. If I haven't got round to fixing it before you are disposing that would be great.
