Lovely piece about Hazel the long serving lollipop person in Currie, in the local advert brochure magazine Konnect. Hazel points out that she sees the same drivers every morning SPEEDING UP TOWARDS THE CROSSING TO AVOID BEING STOPPED.

I always say hello to hazel if going down that way and indeed to the other crossing supervisor I pass on a regular basis at tollcross primary.

I always say morning to the lollipop lady and man in East Calder. They usually let me pass before stopping the traffic :)

@ ed1 having met both you and Bill once I would say that the lollipop person would have to have very poor eyesight to mistake you for Bill.

I always exchange pleasantries with crossing attendant at St Georges School. He is always encouraging as I climb up Coltbridge Terrace and waits for me before stopping traffic. This is a benefit of traveling by bike.

I think I may also say hello to the East Calder lollipop person as I whizz down the hill on my long commute.
