Heading to Balerno this evening; about 18:25 was passing Juniper Green and they're was a police car down at the bottom of the hill and tape across the path - ongoing incident apparently. Whatever it was there were three more police cars parked up by the Lanark Road, plus an unmarked (stick on light - though maybe a fire service vehicle?). Stuck to the road the rest of the way out and a few minutes later a fire engine passed me (no sirens) followed by a fire service truck pulling a dinghy... Suspect that none of that indicates a happy outcome to whatever has happened.
