"Appeal after boy, 9, knocked off bike in Gilmerton hit and run"

Interesting. A couple of years ago, I was hit in a hit and run, and despite giving the police a statement - than included the license plate number - it took them around 3 months to follow up on it.
(The follow up was phoning me and me telling them to forget about it.)
