  1. Big, burnt-out motorbike lying across the Balgreen tram path this morning.

Hopefully the council will remove the 2 - 3" high mound of burnt plastic, welded into the surface, after they remove the wreck so as not to leave a crash hazard, right?*

(* going by other burnt-out bikes, I'm very doubtful!)

    Edit...

Wait, just re-read the post title.

The one below is on the Pinkhill path and is not burnt out. Hooray!

    "is not burnt out."

Yet. Check again later on and see if that's still the case. Maybe the joyriders ran out of petrol?

Hope you reported to PC copper? Some poor motorbiker has had their pride and joy stolen then ditched, after all.

Did you report the Pinkhill bike, nedd1e? I took the registration down to call 101 later but haven't yet got round to it. The headlight / speedo etc. is a bit smashed up and there will be a lot of scuffs and scrapes to buff out but looks like it's more or less in one, working piece otherwise.

  5. *Update* Just saw on Twitter that it was reported by a number of people this morning, so no need to bother.

I meant to call 101 about the Balgreen Tram Path wreck when I got to my desk this morning, but got dragged into work issues as soon as my bum hit my seat, so never got a chance.

I suspect it's been reported already by now - wonder if it'd still be worth ringing 101 though, just in case?

Both bikes now removed. Tram path now needs a good sweep.

  8. Have they scraped off the melted plastic, @biketrain?

Too may of these raised plastic hazards appearing on the cyclepaths of late & not being dealt with.

Looked like piles of ash. A hazard to cyclists and pedestrians.

Checked on way home. Mostly tiles of ash. Just needs a little brush work.

  11. When I passed on my way home, it looked like a serious mound of melted plastic. Hope it's not & it's just ash, like you say.
