Requesting double yellows

I'm getting sick of seeing cars blocking the Corbiehill Ave entrance to the bike path.

Even though there's a dropped kerb and bollards, neither police nor council say laws are being broken.

So I thought I'd email the council and suggest double yellow lines.

Who do I email? (And what's their email address?)

SRD got a double yellow line painted across a dropped kerb on Harrison Road to allow access to/from the canal and Harrison Park.

I think the answer is you email lots of people, repeatedly, for a long period of time.

Start with all the candidates in next month's election, then the ones for the month after!

    Plus Neighbourhood Partnership.

I raised an issue with my councillors in August 2015. The lines were painted on Tuesday of this week.

I've had a few emails from council employees involved over this time, I can PM them to you if interested.

    Almost 18 months? Geez.

    I'll try my councillors.

I believe the local neighbourhood partnership can paint white courtesy lines across much faster if they can be persuaded. There is none of the TRO process for them but on the other-hand they can still be parked on with impunity.

"white courtesy lines" not heard them called that before. I know them as I-bars - a white line with a small line across the ends.

"There is none of the TRO process for them but on the other-hand they can still be parked on with impunity."

Both parts true - but still not quick to get installed!
