  1. It appears that on Monday a vehicle somehow managed to come off the road, cross the tram lines, cross the grass, cross the cycle lane and plough down the banking to do some serious damage to fencing around the substation by the tramstop at Edinburgh Park Station.

Given the amount of shattered plastic et al across the grass and the oil (currently covered with absorbent gravel/dust) on the cyclepath, it must have been quite a violent incident.

Anyone know what happened, and more to the point - will the path and grass be cleaned up or will we have to report it to the Council for action?

  3. Yep, apart from a similar tweet from Edinburgh Trams on Monday, there's nothing anywhere in the media.

Given the mess and the fact that it was reported as 'abandoned', it would appear to have been stolen / joyridden and crashed.
