Meant to post this a few days ago.

Father and son LB customers on way to Norway - pedaling 'direct' from Edinburgh. Blog here.
No big commercial sponsors though donation page link.

They found the NCN76 quite tough in places. Now reclining their way in Netherlands. They cycled a large part of Canada back in 2013. (Not Newfoundland though - other customers put that omission right on their reclining tandem in 2014!)

Met some people from here also cycling to North Cape.
Angelo and Olmo are cycling back though but others are flying back.

Maybe they could stop by and ask Henk how our Quetzal's getting on!

I'm hopeful that you'll have good news soon. If you're still waiting on their return run then your tandem will enter 'LB's longest ever delivery time chart'. Some hot competition there!

Would be the perfect vehicle for a trip like this. All I need is a few months off work and someone to look after the kids....

Arrived at North Cape so at halfway point.

Bikes and human power can do so many things.
For some it will be competing against others in Sportives and Tris.
For others it will be 'not racing' in Audaxes ;-)
Others just cycle as it's faster than walking.

For Angelo it has always been to keep fit and be ready to do the long journeys he had read about. Now he has completed part of 'the dream'.
I don't know the inside story to the fact he is on his own now. He's a very determined rider - ever since he first started going out to West Linton and further on his initial training for crossing (a lot of) Canada in 2013.

    From above -

    "

Then at some point loneliness became solitude, and a more bearable feeling at that. I kept meeting other cyclists and travellers with whom to have a chat. A recumbent is always a catalyst for such encounters.

Angelo is back after his big Scandinavian jaunt - another personal goal achieved - well done to him. By serendipity + sms we managed to meet up near Steenwijck in NL and he joined us for a half day visit to Nazca Bikes.
Incidentally they use one of the last bike producers in NL not 'off-shoring' frame building.
His blog here reflects his love of the countries he crossed and shows that slow travel is rewarding. Makes our ten days in NL look like a mere blip!

He now has to return to work - (yes he does work very hard when not doing these adventures!).

Nordkapp is cool on a nice summer day

but given the choice on a misty day, i'll just stravaig around the Prestevannsvein glen behind Honningsvåg and track the wild herd of albino deer that frequent the area

    Good times

Not been to either but should be on my list then! (When I retire to do the really big cycle tour. Might even be 'we' if it's tandem do-able).
