Is now surfaced with beautiful smooth tarmac. Wow, what a difference!

Limeylands Road and Pencaitland Railway path resurfacing too. East Lothian has never been so smooth. The Devil's Tyre Track however remains.

It's on the NCN 76 going between Dunbar and Cockburnspath.

It's a huge improvement - the predecessor was bumpy and muddy (though with abundant wild flowers). If you take the inland lanes as an alternative it's pretty hilly in comparison.

It's a good way to get to highlights such as Cove, Skateraw, Fast Castle, St Abbs, Berwick Upon Tweed etc

Warning - they did this on the canal outside of Glasgow at one point and it was marvelous, then they came back and added some sort of tarred gravely non-slip coating which effectively shredded tyres and created rolling resistance. Suspect similar here.

Went to check OpenStreetMap - and the surface for this section has been updated: http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/37343340/history

(GinaroZ (on OpenStreetMap) are you here as well?)
