It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

The day cyclists rule the roads

Erm, no it doesn't, it's just one day a week. And as soon as cyclists dare to leave the "recreation" area, they're vilified by all the offended drivers...
It is a good idea though. I've seen it in other cities outside the UK. The good thing is the large numbers of people doing exercise together
BBC World Service really need to get out more. Bogota, thanks to the Penalosa brothers, has been running Ciclovias for around 30 YEARS. They have inspired the movement throughout the Americas
