It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

I know Saddles are a very personal thing but I've been drawn towards a fizik ARIONE VSX CARBON about to go to Velo Ecosse and purchase (temporally) one of the Bright Yellow Demos.
However, before I rush out and splash the cash I wanted to ask if anyone had any comment on or Experience with fizik or other similar saddles?
for any saddle your sit bones must be the judge
but fizik bar tape is certainly first class

I got an Aliante R3 from Condor - a heavily discounted ex team saddle. The quality is simply magnificent, easy to bed in, comfortable and far superior to any I've had before, including the pricier end of the Charge range.
Go for it.
I've had an Arione Tri and a standard Arione. The Tri was very comfortable. It had a softer nose I think. I wrecked it in a crash. The replacement, a standard Arione was, for the first ten miles, just as all the reviews promised at the time: super comfortable, like a Brooks but a fraction of the weight. But past ten miles it just got more and more uncomfortable. I gave it away and switched to a different make entirely.
I used the Arione VS for audax and had a similar experience where it was fine for about 100 miles but then became a bit sore. It does contain what I have dubbed the "scrote moat" which is a vital part for me for being able to continue to have children after hours in the saddle... (apologies for the crass term to those of your with sensitive eyes)
I now ride a Brooks
