My Hamax child seat had its last ride (on my bike) this afternoon. In 8 years it has

    served 2 children's nursery careers,
outlasted 1 suspension base and 1 bike,
survived one crash (thankfully no passengers on board),
    partaken in ~1000 drop-offs to nursery and ~500 pick-ups,
been on dozens of family rides,
absorbed a small mountain of bagel crumbs,
been puked on twice and weed on once,
listened to the gentle snores of its passengers on many trips out,
    stoically ignored some spectacular tantrums,
but had the pleasure of listening to hundreds of cheerful songs,
pondered lots of awkward questions (the most recent ones about death) and
witnessed 2 successful (and lots of attempted) debaggings of the pilot

It was bought with some birthday money from my parents and was quite simply the best ~£60-70 I have ever spent.

It is available from mid July to a good home. Can't guarantee it will last another 8 years but hope it can give someone else the pleasure it gave us...

That's a lovely way to express the life of a childseat.

Do you mind if I share it on other Social Media?

@HC - no problem. Re the offer of the seat, would rather give folk on here first dibs as I "know" them and know it would be used well...

I wasn't thinking of sharing the link to take you up on your offer, I was thinking more of the story of what a childseat goes through and the joy it brings...
