however I do like a shandy of ginger beer and beer. THis is not so easy for some bar staff to work out. I say a ginger beer beer shandy please and they can do it, or sometimes try to top up a ginger beer with lemonade which would be a straightforward gingerbeer shandy for southerners so soft they have to water down their ginger beer
The bane of the barman pre-alcopops was the half pint snakebite and blackcurrant.

Once ruined my favourite pair of jeans by being slightly sick all over them following an afternoon of snakebite & black at Napier Union. I was a student, so not recently. The black current stains just wouldn't come out.
