Things like "that was an exciting finish" are probably acceptable...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Well!!
you said no spoilers.
I think that's too vague to be classified as a spoiler.
How about -
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.

Today was the day team Jerry Corb's Allstars was supposed to make its move. Was all going well until the descent when team leader made slight error. Turned into spectacular crash. Moved up the two leagues I am in from tenth to fourth but very sad about the injuries.
“I guess the organisers got what they wanted,” said the Quick-Step Floors rider. "Cycling is an inherently dangerous sport, but this was just gratuitous."
I don't know much about the culture of road cycling but this seems very odd. Surely the riders knew the route and the weather and should have adjusted their behaviour according to their risk appetite? Surely no one could claim that fast descents when tired aren't a traditional part of the Tour?
On ITV4 highlights Chris Boardman basically said it was rubbish - 'riders decide how fast to ride and push it to the limit'.
Did not see how geraint came off but Porte took the wrong line at high speed. You can see why Martin would be bitter as he was taken out by Porte's body and then mArtin fell off and kicked uran's rear mech breaking it and then the mechanic at the bottom leaned out the car window and put it in a gear that enabled uran to win the stage. Quite eventful.
I hope Froome doesn't become the patron of the peleton. Eurosport commentator suggested that there isn't one atm and that suits me fine. By all means don't attack when the yellow jersey has a mechanical but taken to extremes you end up with Simeoni.
Poor Richie Porte, slowed Aru down for his mate froomey then crashed out. Hard to see where froome's opposition will come from now? If they did not crash out they were mostly dropped?
Patron of the peloton is all we need.
Good day today for my team
@amir, yes Quintana if you have him is bound to recuperate. However, when he was in Jerry Corb's Allstars he failed to deliver. Not sure why as he is a great climber.
@gembo
quintana went hard @ giro
parkour didn't suit @ le tour

Jersey for sale... Only worn once. Not in 100% condition, slight signs of use. Might need a wash…

@bax, Dumoulin for Vuelta? Not sure why he did not win it last year when he was 29lbs heavier and had no team? He was the new Chris Horner. At Vuelta is there a different drug testing regine
Riders have lost their ability to race, says LeMond
He's not happy about Froome's "unwritten rules".

Teams can get round froome's rules. Put people up ahead who do not know he has a mechanical or needs a wee. Froome's rules do not apply to race radio, just to the peloton I think, or those around him. Sky do not have mystery tactics that other teams can't work out. Mostly they set a high tempo throughout the race as Froome is good at going fast in a group for a long time and then still being able to go steady up a climb. He does not do acceleration so Aru needs to have someone up ahead to accelerate to so that when he leaves Froome he can get some help up the mountain.
I do not know why these teams are not hiring me as a consultant.
The other things the teams can easily do to beat sky is to connive. However, the teams rarely seem to subvert froome's unwritten rules with some unwritten co-operation to beat Froome.
He does not do acceleration
Not strictly true:

I suspect they'll ignore the "unwritten rules" (what used to be called sportsmanship, IIRC) when it suits them individually.
Froome and some others believe the unwritten rules of the peloton stipulate that you don't attack the yellow jersey if he is not in capacity to respond.
Is this a race or a débutantes' ball?
@ps, nice clip, comments on it also mightily fine.
