    This is very moving;

    Like many sports at the top level, road cycling seems at times to be infested with macho cow poop. For the fastest and toughest to be honest about what they feel deep inside can surely only be a good thing.

    I remember the rumour mill going into overdrive ten years ago around the time Moore's book came out. It makes me very happy that Philippa has resurfaced at last. Her articles in the cycling magazines were chock full of knowledge and experience.

    Brilliant.

    Although surely it should be 'Ecossais' not 'ecosse'?

    Yes indeed, but the quality of French spoken by taxi drivers is not always that of Molière.

    ah, but I'd expect better (maybe) of the Herald sub and/or Mr Millar himself.

    But that may be an accurate transcription of the taxi driver's words, fact checked with him/her?

    BBC journalist Rhona McLeod, a life long cycling fan was able to contact York and persuade her to conduct her first television interview back in Scotland, in her home city of Glasgow. This journey was emotional and enlightening as York was able to meet friends old and new, including her own cycling idol Sir Chris Hoy
