Imperial College are researching numbness of the hands related to cycling - survey here

I'm sure there are the usual problems with the survey design, but it seems like a good cause

    Done.

Strangely (?) gel gloves make it worse for me, as the gel has ridges and is often in the wrong place.

What helps is evenly applied gel within the handle bar itself.

Sometimes on really long rides, my hands become so weak, I literally cannot push the gear shifters anymore (on road bike brake/gear combo shifters)

yes, I had a terrifying ride home on the canal a few years ago, on the tandem with my youngest, and I realised I couldn't brake or change gear or anything. just hung on for dear life and hoped we didn't meet anyone under the bridges (was following the rest of our crew).
