    Or indeed, hire. Suggestions sought!

Got a trip to Telford area for work in October and probably don't want the hassle of taking the usual bike on & off trains en route, but would be very handy to be able to pedal the five or so miles between station, venue and - probably - miles between B&B and venue. I haven't quite got to the folder-buying place (yet!) but was wondering about renting/borrowing one that would take my small panniers, thus both solving my transport frustration and having a proper shot at travel with tiny wheels.

Is hire possible given I'd be taking it away for a few days, or would someone be willing to load (could perhaps leave my much-loved Surly for security or loan the Longitude in return...)

Bike Trax will do a hire.

Actually, just spotted the small panniers requirement - Bromptons don't take ordinary panniers without a third-party adapter...

I could potentially lend you mine if we can co-ordinate and I'm not going to need it. It won't take panniers but the folding basket in the front takes my overnight bag fairly handily.

Alternatively, look and see if there's a Brompton Dock in the area you're going to

Thanks all. Seems possible BikeTrax also hire out acoutrements... Sally - that's very kind, but suspect the Edinburgh-Dumfries aspect will make it very inconvenient for you!

I could lend you mine, unhurt. I'm not using it much at the moment. I have my special rack that lets you put panniers on the front.

Ohhh. I will keep this offer in mind! (And see if I can swap you something you would like. Do you eat cake, for example?)
