From 4th September until next summer for sewer works: lots of fun and games. All lanes closed eastbound with diversions round Magdala & Eglinton Crescents; only one lane westbound.

Will be interesting to see if there is any traffic evaporation.

Maybe they could stick in a segregated bike lane while they are at it.

I suppose, as a cyclist, if you're headed west from Morrison St, you just walk your bike past all the stationary cars until you get to Haymarket Yards.

Any inconvenience should be outweighed by the joy of getting one over the people in their metal cages.

(You could put a sign on the back of your bike: "If you were a cyclist, you'd be home by now.")

From previous experience of roadworks here this is also the best option if you're heading East (barring some miraculous cycle-specific provision)

Regardless of any reduction in overall traffic the diversion has always been a massive bottleneck from past experience and pretty unpleasant to filter through. As @gibbo says any annoyance at inconvenience is quickly overridden by smugness at avoiding the alternative.
