CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Just a reminder!
I'm sure I saw a thread about the roadworks at Saughton, but can't find it...
I've noticed a big increase (double) in the number of our pupils cycling to school since this road closure and the subsequent elimination of local traffic. So, I asked a few questions...
They have said it feels safer and more pleasant, so they are able to cycle now and that their parents are enjoying walking to work/shops.
I think this is a very good example of inadvertently removing a barrier to active transport in the area but what can I do with it? Seems like an opportunity to engage.
As far as I'm aware these works will be in place for some time.
Would collecting active transport data be useful? To whom should I send it?
