I'm going to make a little resolution to myself. Instead of moaning at potholes that never get fixed, I'm going to report 5 of them that bug me the most to fill that hole/Clarence in the hope that they get fixed before I have to ride over them in the dark.

Initial thoughts are that they will be split between Inverkeithing and Fingal Place.

Will report back on when they are logged and if they are fixed.

Anyone care to join me? If 20 of us do it, we'd get a sample of 100 cases to see the fix rate, and hopefully everyone will have a slightly less bumpy winter ride.

Ok, done my first one on Gilmore Place near the junction with Gillespie Street as I almost lost the grip on my handlebar there yesterday afternoon.

The big pothole on Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing (and a few smaller ones nearby) has been filled in within a week. No luck on Cammo Walk so far. Not been in town recently to check on the others.

Do any of us overlap? Should we divvy them up so we don't mess up the fix rate per report figures? (Though obviously other people could also have reported, so...)

(Fth/Clarence doesn't have a feature that shows how many other folk have already reported something does it?)

fixmystreet.com shows recent reports, but obviously doesn't know what's been reported elsewhere.

I think multiple reporting will be a second-order phenomenon, which can be considered negligible.

Cammo Walk potholes mentioned above, and others on the road have been repaired. A bit of a bodge job which will probably need revisiting in spring, but much better than nothing.
