Backreading the terrible surfaces thread and inspired by @ARobComp's spot in Cuba of a "huge sign that read (in Spanish of course) "Che Guevara Artificial Insemination Plant""

    Seen outside Brandon, Manitoba:

    DOUGLAS BULL TEST STATION
    Bulls Tested to Perform!

It's the exclamation point that pleased me!

Share your signage spots - images nice if possible (especially if sign is text free).

Does that sign mean that even livestock are meant to dismount?

    @Arellcat

    No. Punctuation is important.

Though livestock should of course dismount once they're done.

PS I will buy anyone who can supply a grid reference for that sign within one week a beer.

It can have this one: MC035165

    I claim a beer.

(You said "supply a grid reference for that sign". You didn't it had to be the actual grid reference for the location of that sign.)

You may collect your beer at that grid reference. I hear you're a decent swimmer?

Note to self: create spreadsheet of pub grid references for future reference.

  9. Seen at the side of a cyclepath in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Not sure how many cyclists were guilty of such fouling, but someone obviously felt the need to create a 'No pooing' sign!

Ha! I was expecting a stylized road sign not a full colour illustration.

That bull (buffalo?) is clearly feeling judged. Can't a beast gore a person to death in peace?

I'm puzzled by these bull and croc signs. Doesn't the red circle with red diagonal mean 'do not do what's illustrated in the circle'. So are the signs aimed at bulls and crocs forbidding them from goring or eating pedestrians?

I've just spotted that the person in both signs has had a foot bitten off. So perhaps the croc leaves and then the bull shows up to add insult (& goring) to injury?

The bull is clearly conflicted. Knows he shouldn't do it, but sees the missing foot and thinks a little bit of goring won't do much more harm.

I think you've perfectly identified the emotion those sideways eyes are conveying!

Croc? I thought the lower sign was warning of those sofa beds that yield suddenly dragging limbs into the mechanism.

even with a missing foot, I'd fancy my chances of outrunning the croc - look at its feet/stumps/coasters.

@Iwrats - sofa beds with eyes? In Lovecraft's Ikea?

@Iain McR - maybe a bigger crocodile bit them off?

Three or four of these have appeared in the Morrison-Fountainbridge underWidows cut-through:

I didn't have a fresh plate for my camera alas, but I just spotted an advert on the back of a van for a Mobile Disco Locksmith.

Was disappointed on a recent journey through Portsoy to discover that the old "Library Police" sign has been removed.
