You want Talking Heads comment on this page? My bicycle diaries from the library bus is overdue, I might get fined.

I'm up for beer. I take it Iain McR is going to sort out the dates he's busy and we can book it for then.

To defend the indefensible Iain McAr (aka Jonathon). Is free on the night we book as he insists on it being that night. And he never has any other night time engagements ever on that night so he is safe in the knowledge it will be fine. But then some sort of nagging doubt creeps in and he actually checks his diary for the first time to discover he has a work thing on the same night, for which we get bumped. That is his M.O.

    in my defense ...

It's a brave person who can stand up and admit they were wrong. Or one that's bang to rights.

Right or wrong you still have to make some beer decisions for us...

These threads are brutal. Could whoever started it or the admin edit the title to include the date and venue so I don't have to trawl pages?! Cheers!

    Friday 13th, 18.30 at Akva.

Anyone else thinking of heading along?

@unhurt no but related inauspicious and entirely unwanted public collapse from bike due to slipped disc again during bike bus.. just went ping as it has done before..... now extremely immobile but doing my best to hobble about as is the advice. I'm not looking forward to school and nursery drop-offs this week though! The small people will have to forego their bicycles and mine and learn to leave early and walk slowly, but I have no idea how to get them to their various clubs without a bicycle and also do a day's work..... I guess this is what car dependency feels like

Hmm that sounds like maybe you should NOT be going to work! When I pinged my back the other year there were several days where the most I was up to was hobbling to the kettle and back (and even that was a challenge...)

Btw the pilates teacher I know is also a physio, and she was really helpful in sorting my back out once I could do a bit more than hobble.

Might pop in on way home from work, though if lurgy lifts sufficiently, friday forecast might be best cycling day and i might take half day to actually get out (not Miley Cyrus yet)

@algo - sorry to hear you're a bit incapacitated. Hope you can improve soon.

If it was useful could lend UA out but even though it's low step and an e-bike it still takes effort to move onto stand so probably out.
Have trikes and e-trikes which can work solo but not for family runs so easily.

@laidback - extremely kind thank you. I just need time I think. I have nowhere to keep an UA alas - there's no way through to our back green otherwise I'd love to give it a go one day!

Also have our smaller 'normal' Nihola e-bike but you have accessories that might not fit.
Appreciate all the bike train stuff that you and others have been doing.
