Here we go, electric cars are 'different'. Expect more of this.

He said: “We recently held a community consultation and there was a suggestion that the plans could create congestion.

“We have been extremely careful to strike a balance with parking and are actually aiming to discourage car ownership by potentially incorporating charging points for electric cars and spaces for the city car club.

That'll be enormous fun while it's getting built. All the builder traffic trying to turn in and out of there.

I wonder if the developer can be made to contribute to the upgrading of the Canal-Meadows link that would create a major amenity for residents *hollow laughter*. And yes, I don't think the word 'congestion' means what the guy thinks it means.

We're going to discourage car ownership by providing facilities for car owners to use. Strange logic.

    "Strange logic."

    Fuzzy logic, even.

It's like there's a competition to try and find as many justifications for owning a car in a central urban area as is humanly possible. After all, people can't simply walk, cycle or use public transport, oh no.
