    1. Swept up all leaves outside front yard, it is the leaf catcher of Balerno my front yard. As youngest daughter had pals coming round. That was yesterday. Today many more back. I swept them up so that we will be able to get out the door tomorrow, leaf tsunami impending.

    2. Fixed slow puncture on commuting bike. Seemed to have been caused by a replicant thorn. The bit out side seems like a thorn but the bit inside the tyre felt plastic. Cleaned summer bike and put it away. Brought down winter bike gave it once over, won't know damage or what needs tweaked til cycle it a bit, so it goes on, but more pleasurable than pushing a boulder up a hill with your nose.

    Today many more back.

Surely they're not back as such but are brand new and different dead leaves?

Edit: now watching that old multi-Sisyphus fourth-wall breaking (literally) McEwans lager advert

The ultimate Sisyphean task is cleaning the drive train of a metal chain and dérailleur-equipped bicycle.

    This day, I toiled
    My brake no longer squeaks
    My seat much quieter squeaks
    My gears are oiled
    In another week, or two
    I'll fix and clean anew
    Fleetingly is a bicycle unsoiled

Anyone know of pubs in Edinburgh that still sell McEwan's lager?

Chap at work's been sweeping leaves away from the door. unfortunately, his idea of a good way to deposit of them is in the corners of the bike ramp. I ask 'are you going to clear them'? He says 'not my responsibility'.

@SRD Sweep some up and pop a wee bagful in his pigeon hole every day?

Cleaners don't get pigeonholes. I did politely ask him NOT to grab me by the arm to make a point though.

And did not mention said grab when I contacted his department and asked them to ensure they were cleared.
