CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Awesome! PC Baker is the husband of a colleague, keen cyclist and regular bike commuter. I do recall stories from a couple of years ago that he was itching to get a Police bike, so I'm glad to hear that he's finally done it.

Should have been this one -

I'm not sure I understand the premise of Essential Edin's Cop. Is this a real policeman? Why do Essential Edin have a policeman?
There's part of an explanation here -

Yes.
Presume they are paying, but...
Whether EE is a real 'thing' is a whole other question!
Its a community cop position for a very specific part of Edinburgh. My husband did a similar role for a while (central policing team) - its going back to the old days of having a named individual who knows the shop keepers, knows the locals and can support them.
Elsewhere community policing teams have been reduced or merged with response teams because there aren't enough resources to answer the 999 calls.
