here's one to pacify all the cattle gathered uneasily in their winter quarters
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

My first and last ever attempt at disco biking today. Phone was in the hood of my jacket playing some disco beats but jumped out at a pot hole and I ran over it with both wheels :(
@cocoshepherd, that is unlucky
Cheers @gembo. It couldn't really have been much more unlucky now that I come to think about it. Perhaps upon reflection, I was a bit hasty when I said I would never disco bike again. One day...
@CocoSheperd
That is fate at her most spiteful. Have some Charlie Rich on me.
hmmm.. schooly d.. das ist old skool

Not fully in keeping with the eclectic thread but I was taking a trip down memory lane this morning and rediscovered this classic
I walk in a bar and immediately I sense danger
You look at me girl as if I was some kind of a total stranger
The streets are dark and there's no one about
I wander home and all the lights are out
I keep wondering
Where did you get that blank expression on your face
Julian Cope is on at The Liquid Rooms on Feb 15th - may appeal to some on here?
Cheers

Twenty years ago this month since Ian Dury passed away. There is a fine tribute on Radio 6 by Tom Robinson at 18:00.
Hope you’re feeling better Bax.
Cheers
Colin
feelin ok, colin - thanks
did you step out to see JC ?
“
everybody gonna Need some kind of ventilator,
“
Dury tribute started with Sweet Gene Vincent, my favourite Blockheads number
Jeezo twenty years? Still uncomfortabe now, eh?
Wilko not a bad replacement for Chaz and Norman Watt Roy one great bass player. Dury a very angry poetic genius.
Saw them in 1984 - a phenomenally tight band
At the end of the count down programme the little kids cheer as if the words mean nothing or they are canned
Bax, that’s good to hear, and yes, I did see JC - he was magnificent as ever.
Gembo, I also saw Ian Dury then, at The Playhouse. He fell over a few times and was unable to get up without assistance. I agree, he was a genius.
Take care.
Cheers
Colin
@colin
Saw him at QMU in glasgow, a much smaller venue,he stayed upright. There is a bench in Richmond park you can plug ear phones into and listen to him whilst enjoying his favourite view
