Have a meeting tomorrow. Google maps shows 3 racks outside the entrance. Anyone know if there are other racks around? or are those racks likely to be empty?

Other racks outside geosciences (south of the crew building, loads by KBC, loads at Ashworth, probably loads more installed in the seventeen years since I've not been there regularly. Fortunately it was not yet fashionable to cable-tie threatening notices to bikes chained to signs and railings back then.

I don't know where any of those are (never been to KB before!), but will assume they're nearby! thanks.

Cyclestreets app is better for this than any other means of viewing OSM data...

The Crew building ones are usually very busy. Not shown on wingpig's image are the nearest secure ones which are in between the Joseph Black Building and the Christina Muller building, on the west side. Lots of racks at the north east entrance too, in case you find it easier to navigate sans bike.

1 bike there. turns out to be someone for my meeting. several others also arrived by bike. but the building is surrounded by car parks. rather depressing.

i suppose those were the guest parking and staff use secure parking, but it felt very car-dominated. I had two cars overtake me driving rather agressively and quickly on the little windy road between the weir building and gate 1.

    not impressed.
