I love the background noise - waves on shingle and fulmars. Makes me homesickish. Just watched a wader picking over the tang. (Turnstone, I think.)

It's that time of year again: sealcam season. Currently showing swimming lessons. Camera view shifts up the beach & back from time to time.

Meanwhile looking this topic up found me other things... http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=72

Fantastic! I can hear them but I can't see nothing yet ... Tweeted the link to a friend who lived on Sanday for years.

It takes a minute or two to load but then usually goes OK even via work VPN from home. Has nightvision too!

@unhurt I can see the image okay, just no seals in it yet :) But as I say I can hear them, so they must be nearby somewhere.

Oh, I see! (Now it's zoomed on some lovely rotund seals.)

I cycled past "Alsaka Factory" in Bermondsey this morning. It has a great carving of a seal above the gates. I was very intrigued about what this company did. Turns out it was for making Fur. From Seals. Bit sad - one always forgets the Victorians were pretty mean. Nevermind. Interesting read.
