  1. I was looking to revive my old bike at the weekend and that involved sanding the paint away for inspection in a few areas.

Does anyone know where I can source some paint now to cover this up (plain black will do)? I have Googled but its surprisingly difficult to find any.

Painting is a real craft. If you hold the bike in high regard these guys are about £40 for one colour and worth it if you can tolerate their unique customer service...

I just used a spray can of flat black Hammerite on mine, over a suitable primer.

edit - this was just a touch up of a few small areas where I'd removed flaking and blistering paint, not the full frame.

https://spray.bike/ make pretty good stuff. It isn't super tough, but it goes on easily. The cycle service stock it.

  5. Yea, I'd just need to touch up a few areas so spray.bike looks worth a try. Will try and find some of that.
