I vote this Friday (24th) because there's zero chance I'll be up early on a no school day on the 1st. Also there will be post PoP meeting ideas to chew over so that might be good? *But I am an intermittent PYer at best so perhaps don't get a casting vote.

Or a better response - that has only taken 3 hours to think up - "bring bring, brring brring".

I'm off work on the 24th so that would be a good start to my day. I'm in!

I've really got to have words with the person who schedules the most important meeting of my week for 9am every Friday. Bah.

@ Unhurt - what time are you pedalling up ?

I see a peloton forming. My scheduling is highly dependant upon a 2yrd old, so even forecasting which hour we shall depart will be a challenge. Also rain, rain is a no.

That depends on when I get my inner two year old in gear... last month I arrived at 08:12. A miracle. Usually it is... later.

@Snowy get them to relocate it to PY?

@gembo did we have a discussion on here about whether "the back of" means a bit before or a bit after the hour? Or was that a conversation I had in real life and just imagined I had had on CCE? (That has happened in both directions...)

@unhurt, how could the back of something be before it?

...because it's sort of "behind" the hour?

ETA: I mean, I agree that it should mean a wee bit after the hour, but someone, somewhere has definitely disputed this with me!

Behind, that means after as in Gembo came across the finish line behind all the other members of fietsclub Balerno. You are maybe thinking of the word before?

Yes but apparently time is DIFFERENT. NB this is not my position! (Last across the - or any - finish line, however...)

Apparently there are also people who think that "half two" means 1:30pm.

See, that makes more sense because so many languages structure the expression as "halfway TO the hour". Whereas, "the back of" is a different sort of concept? Er. I think.

Really? Do people need to be quite drunk to think the back of can mean before or half two can mean half one?

Anyhoo shall be at PY just before or just after 8 or maybe I will go for 8 itself to avoid doubt
