Am planning on attending, hopefully around 8:45 but possibly had a bit too much wine this evening so who knows.

    I’ll double that.

The bells, the bells. Were very welcome. Cheers @gembo!

MicroMcR very cute and very opinionated.

Also discussed: @ARobComp's steamed eyeballs, not going to work, sets, teaching your children to kill and eat muntjac deer, falling into the canal...

    Great turnout!

Now have a bell to put somewhere, thanks gembo.

Am now contemplating whether this winter is going to be cold enough to justify swapping to the studded tyres

    Early indications say yes

You never really know until it's too late and you're on your erse having had the rear wheel slide out.

Open Water Swimmers on Strava - trails off Porty Beach and the ironman/triathlon off Cockenzie. Bit of coatal rowing on there too.

@urchaidh that distracted me for way too long. I think there's a lot of canoeing/kayaking there as well - look at the way some of the rivers stand out.
Also rowing in the loch in Strathclyde Park...

@urchaidh - thanks, knew I forgot something important from the topic list!

@Iwrats you must talk to @ARobComp about this. Though he wasn't very enthused at idea of squirrel recipes - may need skinning tips...

Our old edition of the Joy of Cooking has detailed instructions on how to skin a squirrel.

    Less joyful for the squirrel.

Oh - @ArobComp also promoted cooking whole salmon in the dishwasher.

Anyone for a PY Nov17 part 2? I'm not working tomorrow, so might swing by the back of 9.

    Surely that'd be PY Dec17 part 1?

Anyone keen? I might need to brave Ikea for various small bits for new flat. Thinking about going by bike as it means I can't accidentally buy anything flat packed. Friday morning might be a good time and a PY en route might clinch it.

@wingpig thankfully that link isn't showing the trailer. Also, don't encourage me!

Ikea has been cancelled thus so is my potential extra PY-ing. Sorry!(Now going to Jupiter Artland later instead. Quite excited, though apparently I don't get to do whatever it is the 6yo and 4yo will be doing. I have to go for a walk.)

@Frenchy "Warning! Do not use the trailer to transport children or animals." - pah.

Ok. Will drink my second filter coffee slowly. (Still only £1 for refill - as recommended by SRD)

    The PY stats for today:
LB - in at 8, one filter coffee and two refills. Cardamom bun.
Arellcat - in at 8.59, hot chocolate?
French - in at 9.10(?), latte I think.

Bikes - Airnimal, Quest VM and Kona with headshock, chain guard, LX rapidfire.

Chat - pleasant discussion on the pros and cons of Gilmerton Rd as a cycle route.
