    I suppose people here have seen those awful 50s/60s futuristic visions of cities when everyone lives in shiny tubes, goes about in shiny capsules and there's no street life at all.

    I thought that was no longer a thing, but here's some gruesome celebrations of cities still full of cars, only they have gizmos to find parking places or are driverless.

    The first one sounds pretty appealing to me - if you're coming into town, your smartphone books you a space in advance and directs you to it. The bit that makes it appealing is that if there's none available, you're not allowed to come in.
