Rapha founder Simon Mottram sent me a letter today (an electronic letter). I imagine he sent the same letter to anyone else who has ever purchased their kit (I have only ever manage sale items). Nary a mention of being bought by the grandson of the founder of Walmart. Or if you like Walmart.

Presumably rebranding to George, reducing price and selling in ASDA stores up and down the country wasn’t mentioned?

Oh yes, I imagine. During the negotiations Simon was forbidden from patting his rear pocket on his jeans, employing anyon called George and ever, ever mentioning Asda price.

I suspect nothing will change for Rapha they will just be pushed more globally (USA?)
I purchased two of their very first products from the very limited range they had at the time....and just look at them now.....and thier prices too......Posted 6 years ago #
