Quite good piece on BBC News website, woman that works fo BBC Nottingham is a Breeze Champion.

Good article with video clips of All women cycle rides.

Also goes with the Do Not Cultivate A Bicycle Face list to women cyclists from 1895 or so which we have seen before. I like this surely spoof advice (either then or now) never strike a match off the seat of your bloomers.

The girls' track-cycling taster session at the Hoy velodrome was very well attended today. Certainly seemed to appeal, and I think quite a good proportion will be back.

@snowy, good news But, how old were the girls? One of the issues is that in the teenage years the number of girls declines.

Yes that piece is intriguing, shocking and amusing by turns.

Don't use bicycle slang. Leave that to the boys.

    Quite so, quite so.

@gembo Aye, it was billed as ages 8-18 but 8-12 was more like it.

Track is pretty specific, and hardly everyday cycling, but I suppose it's another plank in the bridge.

Mrs Chief has been thoroughly enjoying going out on local Breeze rides of an evening.

There are more cropping up in and around Edinburgh and they are looking for more ride leaders if anyone is interested.

Here's an superb blog by the excellent @mummycycle all about it
