    Cotswold sale is on & stretchy fleece and zips are my downfall. If you wear a 44/UK16 there are several black Mammut aconcagua light jackets for £36 down from £120 - but the sale rack labels still say £60 so not all nabbed yet. Also baggy Ayacucho fleece jumpers in millennial teal or blue for £9.

    Schrödinger's Outdoor Wear allows you to be fleeced without being fleeced.

    I know - sorry! They do have non-fleece items on sale too though. Some merino wool things even...

    I swung by Cotswold on my way home today. They had one Aconcagua left in my size – I'd say it was a base layer rather than a light jacket, so I left it on the rack. I found a Rab woolly* hat for £2 and their last pair of Yaktrax, also for £2 (no box, but who cares?), for back-up and maybe for keeping in my bag over the winter.

    * Not actual wool
