This year will also the 3rd West Edinburgh 'Family Friendly' Feeder Ride from St Margaret's Park Corstorphine, via the Pinkhill Railway & Water of Leith Path to Roseburn Park and on to the Meadows, via Telfer Subway & the Canal, joining the Harrison Park ride for the police supported crossing of the Kings Theatre junction.

Our expert marshalling team are already in place, but always room for 1 or 2 more if you are able to help out.

It'll be an easy paced ride with plenty of opportunities for people to take a breather.

We'll pass the end of the NEPN so ideal for anyone in the North of City or Fife wants to join us and arrive at the Meadows in style.

Did I mention, we'll have flags. Come early to get your limited edition flag. #FeederRidesFlagWar

If it ain't broke don't fix it...

Like Greenroofer I was called in to discuss my plans for a feeder ride that the Council told me I was organising, so I thought I'd better get myself organised. That, and I couldn't make the meeting so needed to find someone to cover it. @Claire did a great job by all accounts, so we're all good for the 28th :-)

It's good of Edinburgh council to do the work of pressganging feeder ride organisers ...

@Sally- they were 100% successful so maybe its something that can be used in other cities / routes

Excellent news today: the council has approved TTROs to ensure police help at the King's junction, also at the Roseburn junction and on Dalry Road to get up to the Telfer subway.

Makes the ride a lot easier as these are the main trouble spots.

Well done @Claire and @Greenroofer for their powers of persuasion and to the new CCE film production team.

With the latest feeder ride from North Edinburgh joining the West Edinburgh ride along with the Queensferry ride, we could end up with quite a few merging together at Russell Road.

I hope Gembo has his whistle again...

Yay, we have TTROs to get use through the busy road junctions :-)

Roseburn, Dalry & Kings Theatre will temporarily be closed for us to glide through.

This is good news and huge relief given the size we could become with all the feeder rides joining up.

Flags made, final recce done, local community placated, briefing with marshalls complete and had a call from the police about the support they will give. Starting to get excited...

We'll look pretty silly if no one turns up, so please join us and bring your friends & family.

    See you Saturday.

How much fun would it be to just go up and down the Mile with the roads closed if there only ~100 of us?

    What’s to panic about?

Dress for the not-warm, dodge the slight showers, wave at the sun, be glad there’s hardly any wind.
