This isn't strictly about cycling, but many people here know quite a bit about the topic of street planning.
It's far too late to help me now (the lesson is in 17 hours), but I might like to re-do this in future.

I have a 'build a bridge' activity for an English-Foreign-Language class, and each student will have a 'role card' as they argue for their vision of the bridge. Somehow, I'm going to incorporate some time/money limitations without it being too difficult! (dinner tonight will be takeaway...)

Is there an activity like this aimed at 12-18 yr olds? I found the Designing Streets Scotland policy document, but that's more advisory. If I could find an existing activity/lesson plan, I could adapt it for my language learners.

Many thanks to anyone who's heard of something like this and can point me to it!

Sustrans may be able to help - they do a DIY streets thing and it includes some fairly accessible activities

    Also found this http://www.sustrans.org.uk/sites/default/files/images/files/migrated-pdfs/A%20simple%20guide.pdf

    Thank you!
That's a good start--it's hard to wade through a lot of the results that come up on a search.
