Western Terrace was a nightmare this morning, multiple roadworks from Balgreen Road through to Roseburn, the bus lane constantly jammed with cars trying to get past multiple sets of temporary traffic lights. Surprised I can't find any other mention of it here, unless I've not spotted the topic, but either way... does anyone know if this morning's carnage is likely to be the same for the next 8 weeks?

A colleague took an extra 35 minutes to get home last night in his Single Occupancy Vehicle. Today he is on the bus.

I went into East along Saughton Crescent and quickly decided to return via Balgreen tram stop.
Think I'll be going the long way for the duration.
Helpfully the resurfacing is going to extend South to the Saughton Crescent entrance/exit which currently has a bad braking surface as you approach the junction.

Unfortunately I will need to cross that junction 4 times tomorrow. 2 of those will be by bike so should be able to avoid the queues.

Traffic backs up along Riversdale Crescent... we had to dismount and walk along the pavement to get by.

The whole area around Riversdale/Balgreen/Saughtonhall is ideal for filtered permeability. With these roadworks due to last 8 weeks maybe now is the time to start selling the benefits of it to local residents.
I overheard someone in the office complaining it took them over an hour to drive from his home in Corstorphine to the west end. Same journey took me less than twenty minutes, and always does.

Wrong day to get the bus.
Temporary lights at the corner of Corstorphine Road/Murrayfield road stuck at red. It took 30 minutes for the bus to get from Western Corner to Roseburn.
The number of single occupancy cars is shocking.

The junction at Saughton Crescent/Riversdale Road is now closed for resurfacing. Have to dismount and walk along the pavement to get across.
