    The Arup Lecture: Future Transport
Wednesday 11 April from 20:00-21:30 at NMS.

Digital technologies are transforming our transport systems and fully automated travel will soon revolutionise how we get around. However, are these technologies taking advantage of our new understanding of movement and passenger preferences, or are we merely replicating old systems and infrastructure? Join Isabel Dedring, former London Deputy Mayor for Transpor and Arup’s Global Transport Leader, to explore how these technologies could - or might not - make our cities safer, healthier and more convenient."

Anyone else going? Buying my ticket now...

REALLY want to go to The New Wild: Why Invasive Species Will Be Nature’s Salvation but I have a prior engagement I can't escape (taking the mother to the ballet).

I already have tickets to The Future of Human Sexuality on Friday 6th April at Summerhall - "Dr Kate Lister, a sex historian, and Dr Kate Devlin, a sextech researcher [...] delve into how technology is pushing human sexuality into unchartered territory, as humans are now experiencing love and intimacy in new futuristic ways, and what does mean for our own relationships?"

Not JUST because Dr Devlin is an old friend & colleague (she used to be an archaeologist - I don't have a past in sextech). But it was a draw. Should be good! I encourage more people to go.
