Final PoP planning meeting this Sunday evening, 16:00-18:00 at The Bike Station, Causewayside.

The focus will be on the final big publicity push: flyering, chalking and all that jazz. There will be A5 flyers available to take away, and some A4 posters. (And a very few A3 posters because eejit features here managed to leave those in the office, which is locked all weekend...)

Gutted to have missed it but family day.

I'll be out flyering on the leamington lift bridge tomorrow AM from about 7:30am for an hour if anyone wants to join for a coffee!

Was late down after taking a bit too long making a lamb curry to put in the slow cooker. However successful 20 mins or so handing out flyers and having a delicious coffee.

Mix of "I'm coming" , "thanks for the reminder", "No way" and "It is Monday. Why you speak to me?"

Also reminded how difficult it is to flyer commuting cyclists. Especially if there were a lot of them coming past at once. worried that they were all going to crash into the bollards/dog walkers etc.

Big sad about the sanctimonious "no ways" as well. Massive nose turned up type know exactly what POP is but think its ridiculous type thing. All wearing high vis and helmets and riding on the tow path....

@ARobComp the Boroughmuir School and associated towpath works were quite handy for providing a slow, tight corner at which gembo and I leafletted last year. I think I will be returning to the east end of the Slateford Aqueduct this year on a nice morning next week, but that will mean that I miss a bunch of people doing shorter commutes, although it's good to know that you will have flyered some of them.

ARobComp - the towpath that 10 years ago was a muddy strip, subsequently widened and tarmaced using Sustrans funding - following a campaign by Spokes and others?

Yeah - how have they benefited from cycle campaigning?
