"FC101 which must be quite the machine for winter"
Slow, cold and drafty?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".

CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

FC101
Forgive the land rover illiterati, but what's an FC101?
Land Rover Forward Control 101 at 4WDonline. Three and a half litres of Rover V8 power, or perhaps with sundry upgrades courtesy of RPI Engineeering.
@cb, quick enough for legal UK speeds, warm (good heater) and a lot less draughty than the bike ;-)
or if RPI Engineering have been at it, fast, warm and draughty-ish ;-)
Love them... but my bank doesn't love the fuel consumption :-( hence my S3 being taken off the road a couple of years ago, and currently sitting in the drive awaiting a diesel conversion before going back on the road, no doubt in time for all the snow to have dissapeared and for us to enjoy and unexpected decade of mild winters...(sigh)
