Walked to PoP though.
She wasn't confident about cycling in a group. "Transport Convener runs over toddler" wouldn't be a good look...

“She wasn't confident about cycling in a group.”
Understandable, though ironic (and good) that she’s prepared to mix with traffic.
By contrast (not in a ‘better’ sense) previous Lesley (Hinds) first appeared in public with a bike at an earlier PoP.

“She wasn't confident about cycling in a group.”
I can understand that as not everyone can do track stands or hold very low speeds in the tight spaces on a big cycle event. One of my contacts doesn't like big crowds but put this phobia away as PoP is such a good thing to support.

We welcome those on foot too! I think it's good that she came.

“We welcome those on foot too! I think it's good that she came.”
In case of any confusion, I wasn’t implying that ‘she should have cycled’.
PoP has always encouraged walkers and buggy pushers with/alongside those on bikes.

I'm more impressed that she cycled today in real conditions than on Saturday with the road closures.

Oh wow, no kidding.

She seems pleased with it. We just need Young Adam to become a daily commuter like his predecessor.

According to her Twitter she had to leave it at home today as she couldn't get it started and was looking for advice. Switch not turning on but battery fully charged. Raleigh Service not available till tomorrow.
