1. Just after Harrison Park a drunk was berating school pupil rowers. He was on towpath, they were in their boats on the canal and maybe four different boats had been caught up in a fankle. Drunk felt there needed to be control and order and that they had B.S. Attitudes. They looked mostly bemused.
2. A little further west and the very calm German or possibly Swiss German cyclist in front stopped as a toddler on a scooter cut across in front of us, fancying his chances heading into the rowing club on the right hand side near Meggtland. The calm cyclist calmly advised it would be safer for the wee boy to stick to the left hand side. Cue tirade from stressed out mum of two under two. (Australian) Once rant was finished cyclist was told in no uncertain terms to move along. Or else, I followed on and ventured that they had been very calm and courteous and the mum was clearly stressed. (Quite probably caught out trying to navigate the shared use towpath with two small children etc)

I don't remember seeing the drunk despite passing by that area only minutes before you based on the timing of our high five.

@jdanielp, he walked on from the road after you passed that section. Did you see any school pupils in a fankle?

@gembo not particularly, but I did think that the swan family had made a sensible choice to avoid the rowing section today.
