Turns out it was regular food intake that was the magic thing that allowed Froome to power on his own for 50km. Food. No wonder nobody could touch Froome. No one else would have thought of food.

    Carbs apparently or maybe TRIPE

Funny, I don't trust Sky on anything, but I assume that you are referring to the Tom Fordyce BBC article. I think everyone knew that an attack was coming, but few expected it to stick.

I found the article plausible that they needed to go all in, that Michelton Scott helped them by tiring themselves out by chasing down every move and the fact that the Dumoulin Group wasn't collaborating well.

The food bit was a bit odd,but it seems that they were positioning lots of staff all the way up the Finestre so that Froome could eat and drink without having to carry it.

Still don't trust Dave B or Froome at all.

During the 2012 Olympics I remember Brailsford's comment that "We have found a way to make our wheels a little bit rounder" as a humourous riposte to the sore losers. Now, I don't believe a damn word he says, and he (amongst others) has played a significant part in my complete uninterest in major sporting events.
