not resolvedA friend had his new bike stolen from the secure parking under Edinburgh University's Argyle House on Tuesday. There is CCTV footage which G4S, who handle security there, have supplied to the police so it is not entirely impossible that something may come of it.
In the meantime, the bike is a BMC Sportelite Two 2018 MTB, XL, bright orange-red, hardtail, lockable front suspension, Maxxis tyres and Nukeproof pedals as per: https://www.evanscycles.com/bmc-sportelite-two-2018-mountain-bike-EV302751
Sorry to hear that your mates bike was stolen. Possibly related to the same incident I noticed that my lock had been tampered with. Someone had tried to prise off the outer casing of the d-lock to access the inner mechanism but luckily for me (and possibly unluckily for your mate) they were unsuccessful. I'm really glad that I bought the thick motorbike chain and lock which has now been supplemented by another d-lock.
