Mr fimm and I will be there.
I'd do it on the Brompton if I had it but as it is I'll have to be boring and do it on the road bike!Posted 6 years ago # -
I'm hoping to make it on a Helios. If you see us give us a
pushwave. The only thing we'll be racing against is gravity.Posted 6 years ago # -
we had great fun last year and had been looking forward to this year but life seems to be conspiring against us.

Having to give it a miss due to a pulled hamstring

Had hoped to do it on the Urban Arrow, but life is getting in the way...

Had a half plan to go out and do the kips race but also life....

Too bad you all missed it, those of us who were there had a great time. Laidback tells me that as we had 2 riders standard rules allow us to divide our time by 2.

One of the Titans of our club was in the top ten. Good effort

@Harts put on a really good event. Around 60 riders in all. Great BBQ with McEwans Export and Coke / Irn Bru for the children. Prizes for the top riders. Two did it in under 2 mins. Frightening!
Graeme in launch mode - bikes held on start and then a short run on the level before swinging in to the hill! Was really well run event.

Nice to meet acsimpson and stoker who seemed to be having fun. We (me, mr fimm and mr fimm's friend) had fun too. Usefully we are Mr & Mrs Z and mr fimm's friend is Mr Y so we were all off together at the end.
Good to say hello to LaidBack as well. Next year I might do it on the Brompton (hopefully I will have a new one by then) - I was expecting more inappropriate bikes than there were.
Goood amout of support up the hill - especially the family who had chairs and tables out in the front garden to watch (and warm clothes - it was a bit chilly).
