Had to be a passenger in car today to Stockbridge. Normally this would be busy but for some strange reason at 3pm today the streets were fairly deserted.

I wonder how late for work tbe complainers might have been if the authorities had just allowed a gas explosion to occur instead of shutting the road for fifteen minutes.

Hm, good luck with that, given it's the council's own festival roadworks ban that caused the delay. Even says so in the article: "The Scottish Power overhaul was delayed after workers struck a gas main and the council demanded work could not take place during the August festival season."

The main gripe was that despite Scottish Power claiming they were working 24/7 every time a councillor or MSP went to have a wee look no-one was there. I go that way on my bike and would certainly back that up.

Scottish Power will restart their work at 7pm on Friday, October 12 until 6am on Tuesday, October 23

Anyone know what went on here?

Cones were out on monday restricting traffic to one lane each way with predictably long tailbacks, but now all cones are gone gone gone, a week ahead of schedule ?

Looks like it was just cable tails on A90. The main work on Clermiston continues restrictions there.
